For this reason, Overcomers Ministries rejects all non-Christian spiritual practices including prayers to ancesteral spirits, burning sage and participating in sweat lodges.
The attempt to combine such practices with Christian beliefs is known as syncretism which the Bible speaks against as heretical. Scripture in both the Old and New testaments strictly warn against syncretism - especially by those who claim to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
